Gov. Yusuf Congratulates VP Shettima on Emergence as Tinubu’s 2027 Running Mate

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his emergence as the running mate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.

The governor paid a courtesy visit to the Vice President on Friday night at Aguda House in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he conveyed his congratulations and best wishes.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf described Shettima’s nomination as a recognition of his commitment, dedication and service to the nation.

The governor also offered prayers for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima, asking Allah to grant them wisdom, good health and success as they prepare for the 2027 general election.

Governor Yusuf was accompanied on the visit by the member representing Gwale Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Garba Diso, APC National Ex-Officio, Hon. Muhammad Jamu Yusuf, and the Kano State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Auwalu.

He reaffirmed his support for initiatives aimed at fostering national unity, peaceful coexistence and sustainable development across Nigeria.
