The Yobe State governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has commiserated with his deputy, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune), over the death of his elder brother Alh. Muhammadu Barde Gubana.

In a statement issued by the director general, Press Affairs and Media to the governor, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, Buni described the passage of Alhaji Muhammadu as a painful loss not only to the Gubana family and community but the state as a whole.

“It is with great pain and sadness that we received the news of the passing of elder Muhammadu, who died yesterday.
“Late Muhammadu died at a time when his wise counselling is much needed, but that is the wish of Allah SWT our creator” Governor Buni said.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannatur Firdaus and to the family, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
