Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has rejigged his cabinet with the redeployment of two commissioners in the State Executive Council (SEC).
Under the new arrangement, Captain Iniobong Ekong (rtd), formerly of the Lands and Town Planning Ministry has been moved to the Ministry of Trade and Investment, while Mr. Ubong Inyang, who was in the Ministry of Trade and Investment replaced Ekong at Lands and Town Planning.
The secretary to the state government (SSG), Prince Enobong Uwah, who announced this, said the minor reshuffle became necessary “in order to strengthen the SEC and to align it more effectively with the implementation of the ARISE agenda blueprint of government.”
The new postings, according to him, was with immediate effect.
