Governor Idris Appoints Governing Board Chairmen

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has constituted boards for six agencies, commissions and parastatals to further streamline the effectiveness of governance.

This was contained in a statement issued yesterday to Journalists by secretary to the state government, Yakubu Bala-Tafida in Birnin Kebbi metropolis.

Bala-Tafida listed the boards, agencies and commissions to include; Kebbi State Zakka Board, Kebbi State Preaching Board, Kebbi State Home Savings and Loans/Microfinance Bank, Kebbi State Community Health Agency (KECHCEMA), Kebbi State Direct Labour Agency and Kebbi State Fiscal Responsibility Commission.

According to him, the Kebbi State Zakat board has, Malam Isah Magaji as chairman, Preaching board, Malam Umar Maliya, Kebbi State Home Savings and Loans Limited, Abubakar Umar Ambursa, Kebbi State Community Health Agency( KECHEMA ), Abubakar Bala Gado, Kebbi State Direct Labour Agency, Ahmed Wala and Kebbi state Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Balarabe Abdilmumini.

While congratulating the appointees on their new posts, Tafida said, their appointments were based on merit and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by actively contributing their quota towards taking the state to greater heights of development.
