Governor Ododo, Others Present As Kogi Philanthropist Olusoji Joins APC

A businessman and philanthropist, Engr. Dr Prince Olatunji Olusoji has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his native Iyara, Ijumu local government area of Kogi State at the weekend.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as the philanthropist and humanitarian distributed various empowerment tools to beneficiaries.

The event, attended by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and other prominent APC figures in the State, marked the beginning of a new chapter for Asiwaju Olusoji as he announced plans for extensive empowerment initiatives in the upcoming year.

During his speech, Asiwaju Olusoji outlined his commitment to empowering the people of Kogi State, starting from January with mega empowerment programs across different local government areas of the State, saying the distribution of motorcycles, sewing machines, deep freezers, and grinding machines to beneficiaries was just the first step in his vision to uplift and support the community.

Among the distinguished guests at the reception to mark Olusoji’s entry to APC was the member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Arc. Salman Idris, State APC Chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Bello, and the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade. The show of support from the leaders highlighted the significance of Asiwaju Olusoji’s defection to the APC and his potential impact on the political landscape of the state.

In his address, Asiwaju Olusoji made it clear that the issue of power shift to Okun land was non-negotiable after Governor Ododo’s term.
