The Bounties Charity Initiative has advocated mental health support for parents, especially, women because of the stress they passed through in children upbringing.

To this end, the Widows, Divorcees, and Matured Singles of Bounties Charity Initiative recently concluded their empowering charity event tagged, ‘Rise and Thrive Parenting RoundTable.’

Renowned speaker, Dr. Amosu Sakinah emphasized the need for mental health support, stating, ‘Depression is real, and single mothers are victims of mental health challenges. You need to seek help so that you could be there for your children.’

The chief executive officer of Brainy Educare Services, Mrs. Eniola Shakirah, shared a profound insight, saying, ‘the mood of a pregnant woman determines the emotional state of the fetus, so child upbringing starts from the fetus.’

Attendees not only gained insights from expert speakers but also received valuable resources and tools, such as “Overcoming Parental Inertia,” “Parenting Styles and You,” and “Dua: Your Best Parenting Tool.”

These resources empower single women to tackle parenting challenges with confidence and grace.

“We are immensely grateful for the overwhelming response and support from the community. Together, we can create an inclusive and supportive environment for single mothers, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they deserve,” added one of the speakers, Hassanat Adams.
