An advocacy group, Concerned Edo Youths, has condemned the violent attack on the Amagba home of a UK-based social media activist, Albert Obazee, accusing Edo APC youth leader, Tony Kabaka of masterminding the destruction of his property worth millions of naira.
The group called on the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, to arrest and prosecute those who invaded the home of the activist destroying properties.
Recall that the said APC youth leader and Albert Obazee had been engaged in a bitter social media spat over his invitation by the EFCC on allegation of abuse of naira notes.
The coordinator of Concerned Edo Youths, Comrade Joseph Gbale, in a statement also asked the APC-led government in Edo State to set up an inquiry with the aim of bringing those behind the attack to justice, describing the incident as disheartening and unfortunate.
He said, haven watched footages from the site and interacted with people close to the scene and a tenant in the apartment, “we strongly condemn this act and to us, this is very disgusting, disheartening, distasteful and unfortunate.”
Some of the property in a viral video destroyed include electronics, furniture and other household valuables said to have been carted away.
But in a reaction, when contacted, Mr Tony Kabaka described the allegation against him as baseless and unfounded adding that the said Obazee is in the habit of instigating problems in Edo State.
