The APC Grassroots Governance Group (APC G3) on Monday urged the public to disregard allegations that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is pushing Nigeria towards a one-party state.

APC G3, in a press statement, said that notable politicians are moving into the ruling party because of the president’s bold initiatives.

The group said the bold initiatives have made Nigerians realise the true value of the naira.

The press statement signed by APC Board of Trustees chairman, Engr. Micheal Ayuba Auta and national coordinator, Amechi Chuks Oyema said President Tinubu is the first leader to boldly tackle the issue of the naira.

APC G3 said allowing the naira to float and removing fuel subsidy ultimately makes the economy grow naturally without deceiving ourselves.

According to the group, “Before this time, we were deceiving ourselves, borrowing money to help the naira and spending heavily on fuel importation.

“Majority of Nigerians who may be sincere know what the president is doing is the right way to go.

“This is why leading political actors are queuing behind the president. Even leading opposition figures know that President Tinubu is taking the right decisions in bringing the country out of the present economic challenges.

“Any presidential candidate who is not in support of floating the naira or removing the fuel subsidy has nothing to offer the country. Nigerians should run away from desperate politicians hiding under the umbrella of the opposition.

“We urge Nigerians to support the president as he delivers on his mandate of breaking the economic shackles we find ourselves,” it added.
