In a statement, HAPAI praised Kyari’s strides in ensuring energy security and self-sufficiency in petroleum products for Nigeria. The organisation also called for calm across all regions of the country, urging citizens to support the NNPCL GCEO in carrying out his duties.

“Mr. Mele Kyari has shown time and again that he is capable of achieving energy security and self-sufficiency of petroleum products in Nigeria. The organization therefore calls for calm in every region of the country as we allow the GCEO NNPC to carry out his duties for the benefit of all Nigerians,” the statement read.

HAPAI highlighted the revitaliSation and operation of the Port Harcourt Refinery as a significant milestone for the Nigerian petroleum industry. The initiative sees the refinery’s revival as a crucial step towards addressing the challenges of fuel scarcity, promoting economic growth, fostering healthy competition, and reducing the prices of petroleum products nationwide.

“The revitalization and operation of the Port Harcourt Refinery is a huge milestone in the petroleum industry in Nigeria. It marks a journey towards solving the challenges of fuel scarcity, which will lead to economic growth, healthy competition, and price reduction of petroleum products across the country,” HAPAI stated.
