To provide job opportunities to young Nigerians, an innovative youth group has created Eatse, a cleaning and housekeeping platform to connect cleaners and clients in different parts of the FCT.

At a media briefing in Abuja, the Chief Executive Officer of Eatse, Aka Daniel Chidiebere, said that the company began operations seven months ago and has been improving in the business of connecting cleaners (Easers) with clients needing cleaning services.

He said that the company has been offering services to cover communities in Guzape, Gwarinpa, Asokoro, Lugbe, Lokogoma, Nyanya and other parts of the FCT.

Chidiebere revealed that the company has also taken into consideration security issues, including theft, molestation and other negative incidents by providing forms for clients and clearness to fill before, during and after each cleaning services.

He said that Eatse, as a housekeeping/cleaning technology delivery company, has developed a fully functional website and user-friendly app for cleaners.

He added that cleaners registered with the company are between 18 to 45 year, who are placed on pension and medical checks, while the company gets 20% of the payment for cleaning services.

He said: “Eatse is a cleaning and housekeeping company. Ours is the first of its kind in Nigeria as we provide pension schemes for cleaners, otherwise known as Easers We started a test run operation seven months ago without an application or a website.

“We wanted to find out if there is a market in this field. So, when we ran a few adverts, we realized that there’s a lot of market. We were overwhelmed by the avalanche of requests for cleaning services, including newly built houses. Therefore, we decided to launch fully and we’re fully operational in different parts of the FCT.

“We take care of the health of our Easers and ensure we connect them to nearby clients. We are basically nearly the cheapest in the market. We have services as low as N4,000. We take 20 percent and give the easers 20 percent.

“We guard against our Easers being sexually molested or stealing from clients, so we always make sure both the client and cleaners fill forms for us to follow them from the beginning to the end of each cleaning service. Our services are not restricted to gender or category as we clean homes, offices, factories, apart from laundry, fumigation and other services.

“We have people in schools and graduates currently working with us. We pay as much as N20,000 for somebody that works once per week. That’s four times in a month. Some staff with us earn N20,000 going to work four times in a month. We do not take a large cut from their payment. We’ve had people leave their jobs to work with us and earn better.”
