A group, 179 Youth Community Leaders in Anambra State, has declared support for the incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo, pledging to give him total votes in the forthcoming November 8, 2025 governorship election.
The youth leaders made the pledge through the president-general of Association of Town Union (ASATU) youth wing, Comrade Ken Okoli, while addressing journalists during a leadership training workshop in Awka, the State capital.
The two-day workshop was organised by ASATU youths in collaboration with the office of accountant-general of local governments and the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
Comrade Okoli said the policies and priorities of Governor Soludo consistently reflected an unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and transformation.
According to him, Anambra youths never had it so good, as the present administration has placed them at the very core of its development blueprint.
According to him, all the programmes of Governor Soludo focused on development of youths.
“From the launch of the 1Youth, 2Skills initiative and SID, to the massive employment of doctors and nurses, employment of teachers, building of the Solution Fun City, etc, the youth remain at the centre of the governor’s achievements,” he said.
He added that under the Soludo administration, communities in Anambra State had witnessed real development, from building of hospitals, schools and dual-lane road projects in most major roads. He also commended the governor’s decisive action against insecurity.
The ASATU youth wing president-general stated that youths across the state would rise to their civic responsibilities by coming out en-mass to vote for the governor for a second term in office on November 8.
The event was also graced by the deputy governor of the state, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim; the House of Assembly member representing Anaocha II Constituency, Hon. Sir Ejike Okechukwu; commissioner for lands, Prof. Offornze Amucheazi (SAN), and social development specialist, Hon. Chudi Mojekwu, among others.
