President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Engr Habu Gumel, has Congratulated Chief Jonathan Nnaji, president of Nigeria’s Modern Pentathlon Federation, on his emergence as the Vice President of the Africa Modern Confederation (CAPM).

Chief Nnaji emerged during the elective congress of the African body at the election held in Saudi Arabia from October 15 -17, 2024.

In a statement released yesterday by Tony Nezianya, spokesperson for the NOC, the African countries in attendance during the elective Congress Riyad, Saudi Arabia are Cote d’Ivoire, Namibia, Senegal, Central Africa Republic and Kenya.

The world body of Modern Pentathlon is known as the Union of Modern International Pentathlon Federation.
This is made up of five sports. They are: Fencing, horse racing (jumping), shooting (pistol shooting), Running. All as one sport, indeed an Olympic sport.
