Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, Omolola Odutola confirmed this incident via a terse statement issued Friday in Abeokuta, the state capital.

According to Omotola, the gunmen stormed the Celestial Church located near Oriyarin village, in the Mowe-Ibafo axis, abducted two victims identified as Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola and escaped through a thick forest behind the church.
