Hon. Adamu Hashimu Ranga, a prominent member of the House of Representatives representing the Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency in Bauchi State, has commended the outstanding infrastructural development and socio-economic progress achieved by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State. He attributes the overwhelming success of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections to the Governor’s remarkable performance.

In an exclusive interview at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, Hon. Adamu Hashimu Ranga, who was also celebrating his victory at the Election Tribunal, highlighted Governor Bala Mohammed’s exceptional contributions to the state’s development. He pointed out that the Governor’s accomplishments played a pivotal role in the party’s electoral victory.

 

Hon. Hashimu praised Governor Bala Mohammed for his exceptional performance, citing the repair of long-neglected roads, demolition of congested areas to enhance access in Bauchi Municipal, and the construction of roads in each local government area as some of the Governor’s achievements. He emphasized that these actions resonated with the people of Bauchi State and garnered substantial support for the PDP.

Furthermore, Hon. Adamu Hashimu expressed his satisfaction with the Election Tribunal’s decision to uphold his victory in the National Assembly elections. He attributed the dismissal of his opponent’s petition to its lack of merit and the overwhelming support he received from his constituents.

 

In a message to his opponents, Hon. Hashimu urged them to accept the election tribunal’s verdict as the will of the Almighty and advised them to consider contesting again in the next election cycle rather than persisting with legal challenges.

Regarding his legislative agenda, Hon. Adamu Hashimu revealed that key priorities included food security, empowerment of women and youth, and increasing farmers’ productivity. He shared his efforts in providing food palliatives, vocational skills training for youths, and empowerment initiatives for women. Additionally, he discussed plans to offer scholarships to indigent students, facilitate youth employment, and support farmers in the region.

 

He concluded by mentioning his intention to table a motion for the rehabilitation of moribund earth dams in the area, highlighting their significance for Bauchi State and the entire Northeast region.
