Speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, Basiru described the rumour as concocted stories by propaganda machinery of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State designed to cause disaffection within the fold of All Progressives Congress in Osun State.

The APC scribe said there is no iota of truth in the fabricated story adding that the Salah goodwill message of Oyetola was delivered to him not quite long also pointing to a strong associate of Omisore sitting close to him at the media pearly.

“Assuming Governor Oyetola was around yesterday, I would have been in his house to eat and our house is not far from each other in Abuja. We spoke so we don’t have any problem, if they are already afraid of our party in 2026, let them wait till expression of interest form will come out, till the nomination process will come out before you know who is contesting and who is not contesting.
