Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has dismissed speculations about defecting to another political party, insisting that he remains fully committed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor made this known while hosting stakeholders from ten local government areas of Bauchi State to a Ramadan Iftar at the Government House, Bauchi.

According to the governor, the people of Bauchi State have shown him overwhelming support, which he said strengthens his resolve to remain in the PDP.

He emphasised that Nigeria operates a multi-party democratic system, adding that loyalty, consistency, and collective effort are essential for sustaining democratic growth and good governance.

Governor Mohammed urged party faithful and supporters to remain steadfast and united behind the PDP and his administration.

LEADERSHIP reports that the local government areas hosted at the Iftar included Darazo, Misau, Dambam, Zaki, Gamawa, Giade, Shira, Jama’are, Itas Gadau, and Katagum. The gathering brought together political leaders, traditional representatives, and other stakeholders to reflect on governance and unity during the Ramadan period.

The governor further assured the people that his administration would continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders across critical sectors of the economy to drive development and improve living standards.

Speakers at the event, including representatives of the ten local government areas, commended the governor for his developmental strides across the state and pledged their continued loyalty and support to his administration.
