The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting South Sudan’s development and raising global awareness of the country’s pressing needs.
Speaking at an event in Kenya, IAWPA’s International Spokesman, Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke, highlighted the organisation’s dedication to advancing peace and sustainable development across Africa.
“We will be doing a lot to draw South Sudan to the international map,” Amb. Nkweke said, underscoring IAWPA’s ongoing efforts to aid the country’s growth. He made the remarks during the appointment of Rt. Hon. Jemma Nunu Kumba as Mayoress of Peace and IAWPA Women Leader for Africa.
IAWPA aims to tackle some of South Sudan’s most pressing challenges, including widespread poverty, limited access to education and healthcare, and ongoing insecurity. Through advocacy, capacity-building initiatives, and strategic partnerships, the organization seeks to promote lasting peace and sustainable development.
Amb. Nkweke also stressed that the organization’s work in South Sudan will focus on strengthening institutions, fostering justice, and advancing peace, objectives that align closely with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
IAWPA has been at the forefront of promoting peace and sustainable development globally, with particular emphasis on African nations, and its recent initiatives demonstrate its commitment to addressing some of the continent’s most pressing challenges.
