Gombe State governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed confidence that he will win the upcoming governorship election in the State on March 11, 2023.

Governor Inuwa spoke during an interview with journalists in Gombe while commenting on the outcome of the presidential election that held on February 25.

According to him, he was confident because he has the capacity, adding that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has realised its mistakes in the last presidential election in the State, which gave the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) victory.

He, however, said that the APC members have developed courage following the victory of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

“I am confident because I know that we have the capacity, the tenacity and our people are really determined. We have realized the mistakes we made in the last election and we shall make them up.

“We are determined especially with the encouragement, the will that have developed in our people after the success at the national level. Meaning, with Asiwaju definitely, our people will be stronger. We will work harder to deliver Gombe State to APC,” he stated.

The governor commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the innovations it introduced in the country’s elections such as the BVAS machines, saying that they have contributed immensely in improving elections.
