I’m Heartbroken, Buhari’s Daughter Shares Her Grief

Noor Buhari, the daughter of the late former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, has taken to social media to express her sorrow over her father’s passing, stating that she is heartbroken.

In a poignant tribute filled with grief and remembrance, she prayed for her father’s soul.

In a message shared on her Instagram story, Noor expressed her deep heartbreak following the death of her father, who passed away at the age of 82 in a London clinic on 13th July 2025.

“Daddy, I’m heartbroken that we won’t get to share the moments and experiences I had planned for us,” she wrote.

Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s Head of State and was a two-term civilian President, was buried in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, on Tuesday, July 15th, in accordance with Islamic customs.

His passing has prompted a wave of reactions worldwide, with tributes flooding in from global leaders, politicians, and citizens alike.

In addition to her heartfelt message, Noor offered a prayer for her father’s soul: “I pray that you are granted the highest place in Jannah, and may your soul find eternal peace.”
