The immersive entertainment, media, and technology company Cosm is bringing to the public a reimagined version of ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, set to be released at its Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Dallas “shared reality” centres on May 7 later this year.
The tech company and its partners told the media that tickets will go on sale on Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT.
The trailer shows how the original 2001 segment in the Potter franchise
has been adjusted for Cosm’s unique screens. Cosm is known for its single main screen, a curved 87-foot display with a resolution greater than 12 K.
Separate spaces have smaller, high-tech screens enhanced for live sports, the original main fascination at Cosm.
Cosm announced last November that the first Harry Potter movie would be the next feature in its schedule as part of a larger 25th-anniversary commemoration.
Past partnerships with Warner Bros had resulted in Cosm arrangements for The Matrix and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, with the running times of the movies shown at Cosm remaining the same as their previous theatrical versions.
