Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Kebbi State has directed residents to visit its designated offices to register or revalidate their voter cards in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) from August 18, 2025.

The directive was given on yesterday by the INEC resident electoral commissioner,  Hon Abubakar Sarkin Fawa Dambo, at a press conference at the INEC headquarters in Birnin Kebbi.

He called on eligible voters in the state who turned 18 in 2025, lost, mutilated, or misplaced their cards, to present themselves for physical registration.

“Similarly, those whose voter cards are defaced and again for those who wish to correct their names or date of birth can also present themselves at any of our local government offices of their residence to register “, Sarkin Fawa Dambo said.

“The registration will be conducted either physically or online at all INEC Area offices of Kebbi State from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, except on weekends and public holidays,” he added.

The REC, however, warned that the Commission will not condone multiple registrations by voters, registration by proxy  , underage registration, or all other illegal avenues of getting themselves registered.
