The Enugu State Chapter of the Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Council has charged its members to go to their various wards and local government Areas and lure holders of the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to vote for the party during the presidential election.

Coordinator of ICC in Enugu, Gbazuagu Nweke Gbazuagu gave the charge during the inauguration of the Enugu State local government Independent Council of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Council.

Nweke warned them against shortlisting the names of their family members without PVCs as members, stating that any one caught doing so will be sanctioned.

He said he was among the people that worked hard for the emergence of an Igboman as presidential candidate of APC but said they decided to work towards the victory of Tinubu when he emerged as a candidate through free and fair primary election.

Nweke assured the APC members that Tinubu will reward them adequately when he emerges president and urged them to work tirelessly toward his emergence.

He recalled that shortly after his emergence as presidential candidate, Tinubu visited a former Senate president, Ken Nnamani and urged him to support him.

Nweke urged them not to use the past eight years to judge the reward system of the APC, assuring them that Tinubu is a party man who knows how to reward those that worked for the party.

He urged them not to make enemies but rather reach out to other parties and urged them to support Tinubu.

Nweke expressed optimism that Tinubu will win the election, saying that explains why people are working hard to bring him down.

He said the APC presidential candidate is more than prepared for the election, noting that he contributed immensely to the success in 2015.

Among those who attended the event werev Nnamani and a former Chairman of the APC in the state, Dr. Ben Nwoye who donated his residential building to the Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Council in Enugu.

In his address, Nwoye stated that Bola Tinubu and Kashin Shettima had unified Enugu APC.

He disclosed that Nnamani has urged all of them to work for the emergence of Tinubu and Shettima in the 2023 general election.

He described Tinubu as a unifier and assured that they will work hard to make him victorious come 2023.
