IWD: Rhoda Kusimo Foundation Moves To Empower Women, Girls

As the world celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, The Rhoda Kusimo Foundation has officially launch to create a world for women, irrespective of their background have access to opportunities that will enable her thrive.

The Foundation said the unveiling marks the beginning of a transformative journey dedicated to empowering women with the tools they need to succeed.

According to the Founder, Rhoda Kusimo, a business leader, PR strategist, and advocate for children & women’s development, the foundation is committed to providing tools for women to succeed. “The vision is simple yet profound: to create a world where every woman, regardless of her background, has access to opportunities that enable her to thrive.

“Women across industries continue to break barriers, yet many face systemic challenges that limit their growth. By launching the Rhoda Kusimo Foundation on this day, the message is clear: empowering women isn’t just a one-day celebration, it’s a continuous commitment to uplifting, educating, and supporting women by providing women with the tools they need to succeed.

“The strength of a woman lies not just in her ability to persevere but in the opportunities she is given to rise. Through this Foundation, we are creating a platform that ensures more women have access to education, business opportunities, funds, information and mentorship. We are bridging the gap and building a stronger future.”

She hinted that the Foundation will begin a series of initiatives aimed at addressing key challenges women face to include skill development programs in Abuja, Kaduna, Lagos. Business Grants; Mentorship & Networking; Advocacy & awareness campaigns to educate women on their rights, financial literacy, and health.

The Rhoda Kusimo Foundation however, called on individuals, businesses, and policymakers to support its mission, stressing that women empowerment requires a collective movement of people willing to open doors, share knowledge, and provide resources.
