The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jada ward, the country home of Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, has reiterated support for him with or without presidential victory.
Former chairman of Jada local council, Mr Abdulkareem Bakala who led PDP stakeholders from Jada to Yola on solidarity visit to the secretariat of the party, yesterday, said they are not dampened by his loss at the 2023 presidential election.
“Atiku is our pride, his loss at the February 25 election had not affected our support for him. The stakeholders are here to mark Democracy Day. He is one of the founding fathers of PDP and he has done well for the party and for the country. He contested for the presidency and we are still struggling for his mandate. We feel confident that our son will win,” he said.
He said Atiku lost by a narrow margin, but that he actually won the election and they were there to show their support for him as he fights for his mandate.
