Liberty TV sports anchor, Comrade Odion Musa, rolled back the years as he secured one gold and one bronze medal at the recently concluded Nigerian Athletics Masters Championship in Abuja.
Journalist Abiola Shodiya reports that the former Edo State athlete triumphed over competitors from military and civilian organisations, including the Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force, Immigration, and various media houses. He clinched the gold medal in the 110 metres Hurdles M35 event.
He further demonstrated his versatility in the 4 × 100m Relay Final, helping his team secure a bronze medal.
A true sports all-rounder, Comrade Odion Musa is the captain of the NUJ football team, a keen table tennis player, and an active member of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).
Odion’s professionalism extends beyond sports and news writing; he is also a strong advocate for integrity, serving as the Vice-Chairman of the Sports Integrity Foundation.
The inaugural championship hosted former Nigerian champions such as Mike Monye, Tich International athletes from Poland, and other established athletic stars.
