Judge Warns NIS Against Disobedience Of Court Order

National Industrial Court (NIS), sitting in Abuja, has warned Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prison Services against disobeying court order.

The court warned the organisation to immediately align the rank of one Mr Oguntoyinbo Charles Made, to controller of Immigration among others.

In its ruling, Hon Justice Rakiya Bosede Haastrup held, “Take notice that you obey the direction contained in the order of the National Industrial Court, Abuja delivered on the 29th March, 2019, which ordered you to immediately align the rank of the Judgment Creditor to comptroller of immigration among other orders, inter alia you will be guilty of contempt of court and will be liable to be committed to prison.

“A copy of the said order of court earlier served on you is hereby annexed for your on-the-spot reference.

“This court has been informed that even as at today, Monday, 9th May, 2022, you are yet to comply with the lawful order of the National Industrial Court. You are hereby directed to comply with the court order forthwith or you will be guilty of contempt of court.”
