Eight persons have ben confirmed killed with four others missing in an attack by Boko Haram terrorists at Zah, Mubang Yadul and Kijing Villages of Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Chairman of Hong LGA, Mr Inuwa Usman Wa’aganda, confirmed the killings to LEADERSHIP in a telephone conversation on Tuesday.
Wa’aganda, equally confirmed that houses and shops were burnt, as many people lost their livelihoods especially, foodstuffs to the attackers.
According the chairman, the attack was carried Monday night, saying the attackers fled to the bushes before the arrival of security personnel.
He appealed for government’s intervention to resettle the displaced persons following the attack.
“It is true that Boko haram attacked Mubang, Zah and Kijing villages of Hong. For now, eight corpses have been recovered from the three villages and four persons were still missing,” the chairman added.
However, a police source who pleaded anonymity confirmed the casualities from the attacks, describing it as unfortunate.
