Youths of Finima community in Bonny local government area of Rivers State, on Tuesday morning, shut down two oil service companies – Saipem Construction Nigeria Limited and Daewoo Engineering and Construction Limited – over what they described as neglect and marginalisation in the ongoing Train Seven Project of the Nigeria Liquified National Gas Limited (NLNG).

The youths defied the early morning rain, which had lasted several hours to barricade the gate of the companies, preventing entry and exit of staff.

They are demanding implementation of the Local Content Development Act 2017 and the inclusion of host communities in the project.
