The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) enforced its warning on Monday by sealing the Wadata Plaza headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja.

The action followed the party’s alleged failure to settle outstanding ground rent payments, accumulated over 25 years, for the property.

FCT Authorities had previously alerted the PDP to resolve the long-standing debt, which reportedly dated back to the 1990s.

FCTA’s move underscores a broader crackdown on defaulters of land-use regulations in the capital.
