JUST-IN: Jigawa Gov Namadi Loses Mother

The mother of Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar, has died on Wednesday.

The governor announced the death of his mother through his chief press secretary (CPS), Muhammad Hamisu Gumel.

Gumel, in a press statement, disclosed that Hajiya Maryam passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

According to him, the burial rites will take place this Wednesday by 4:30pm in her hometown of Kafin Hausa local government area in accordance with Islamic rites.

The governor’s spokesman added that the governor and his family requested prayers for the repose of her soul.

He, therefore, prayed Allah (SWT) in His infinite mercy, to grant her eternal rest in Jannah and provide comfort to the family during this difficult time.
