Barely nine months after the exit of Olori Silekunola Naomi from the palace, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, on Tuesday night, unveiled his new wife.

This was revealed to in a video uploaded by Moses Olafare, the Director of Media and Publicity to Ooni of Ife.

The new bride was spotted in a viral video with Ife Chiefs, who were leading her into the palace.

The foremost traditional ruler has officially tied the nuptial nut with Mariam Ajibola Anako, a daughter to an ex-Police officer and a beautiful society lady.

Olori Mariam Anako who hails from the Ebira ethnic group of Kogi State is an oil and gas executive with NestOil.

Recall that Olori Naomi in her decision to get out of the union with the monarch said it was the best thing to do then, revealing that her husband “has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self.”

Since the separation, Ooni has been operating a single relationship profile until Tuesday when he officially unveiled the new wife at a low-key wedding ceremony.

The Ooni’s union with Naomi produced a son, Prince Tadenikawo, who celebrated his first birthday in November 2021 before Naomi left the palace.

Palace sources said Ooni had on February 19, 2022 met with his new in-laws for family introduction said to have been private and without fanfare due to the monarch’s preference for media blackout.

Sources had revealed that Mariam, whose parents are based in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, had lost her dad at a young age and was brought up in the home of former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Dikko Abubakar.
