JUST-IN: Terrorists In Hijab Attack Police Post In Katsina

Bandits dressed in Hijab have attacked a Police duty post and killed one police officer at Saki Jiki village, Batsari local government area of Katsina State.

The Police Command’s spokesman, Abubakar Aliyu Sadiq, in a statement on Friday confirmed the incident, stating that another police officer sustained injury in the attack.

Sadiq, who explained that the incident occurred at 8pm on Thursday, added that the police were already on top of the situation at the duty post.

He said, “Yesterday (Thursday) at about 8pm, some suspected armed bandits, deceitfully dressed in hijab, attacked officers at their duty post situated in Saki Jiki village of Batsari Local Government Area.

“The officers responded bravely and successfully repelled the attack. However, one officer lost his life and another was injured as a result of the attack.

“Further development will be communicated in due course please.”

Batsari local government area has been experiencing renewed attacks recently. Just within a week, suspected bandits carried out successful two attacks in the area.
