Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum has relieved two commissioners of their appointments in an exercise aimed at revitalising governance and enhance service delivery.

The exercise was contained in a statement on Thursday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Dauda Iliya in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.

Those affected include the Commissioner of Environment, Engr Emet Kois and his counterpart in the Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs and Special Duties, Hon. Tukur Ibrahim Shani.

Governor Zulum expressed appreciation to the two commissioners, and wished them the best in their future endeavours.

He, however, announced the appointment of Engr. Mohammed Habib and Ibrahim Hala Hassan to replace the two relieved officers.

Meanwhile, Governor Zulum also approved the appointment of Professor Yusuf Gana Balami as the Executive Chairman of Borno State Secondary Education Board.

Balami, Professor of Education Psychology, hails from Hawul in the southern part of the state.

He worked with Borno State Ministry of Education between 1984 and 1988, and later proceeded to the University of Maiduguri as graduate assistant rising to become a professor in 2014.
