Justin Timberlake is reportedly preparing to revisit some of the most controversial moments of his career in a new documentary series featuring Janet Jackson.
According to Variety, the singer is developing a four-part tell-all docuseries for Apple TV, expected to premiere in December. Although details remain limited, Jackson is reportedly among the guests, raising speculation that the project will address their infamous 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance.
The performance sparked controversy after Jackson experienced an onstage wardrobe mishap involving Timberlake, an incident that became one of the most talked-about moments in Super Bowl history.
The upcoming series comes five years after Timberlake publicly apologised to Jackson for his role in the fallout, acknowledging that he had benefited from a system shaped by misogyny and racism.
He also expressed regret over comments he made about former girlfriend Britney Spears following their 2002 breakup.
Timberlake faced further controversy in 2024 when he was arrested in the Hamptons on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He later pleaded guilty to a lesser impaired-driving charge and was sentenced to 25 hours of community service.
The singer subsequently revealed that he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease, describing the condition as physically and mentally debilitating and explaining that it had contributed to pain and exhaustion during performances.
Neither Timberlake’s representatives nor Apple TV have reportedly released further details about the project.
