Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv has finalised the signing of Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu on a free transfer. The 28-year-old has signed a long-term contract, according to the Yellow and Blacks. Kalu departed Sky Bet Championship club Watford following the expiration of his contract.

The former GBS Academy star spent last season on loan at Swiss club Lausanne-Sport, where he scored three times in 21 league appearances. Kalu has previously played for AS Trencin in Slovakia, Belgian side KAA Gent, and French club Girondins Bordeaux. He has netted twice in 16 appearances for Nigeria.
