Governor Abba Yusuf on Sunday hosted federal political appointees from Kano State and leaders of the All Progressives Congress at the Government House Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, where stakeholders passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu and pledged to deliver the state to the APC in the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, held under the platform of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter, brought together key party leaders to strategise ahead of the next general elections.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, the stakeholders unanimously endorsed Tinubu, citing his commitment to the development of Kano State and the country.
They also resolved to mobilise support for Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima to secure victory in Kano during the 2027 presidential election.
The forum congratulated Yusuf and his deputy, Murtala Sule Garo, on their emergence as the APC governorship candidates for the 2027 election.
They reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda while expressing support for Yusuf’s Kano First Agenda.
They also resolved to work in unity to ensure the APC wins the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly elections in Kano in 2027.
The meeting was attended by former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje; the state APC Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa; ministers, presidential aides, heads of federal agencies, chairmen of parastatals, board members and other federal political appointees from Kano State.
