The home side took the lead in the 28th minute through J. Arumala, giving Ikorodu City a 1-0 advantage at halftime. Kano Pillars’ struggles continued into the second half, with T. Oyedokun doubling Ikorodu City’s lead in the 72nd minute.

They are also just two points ahead of El Kanemi Warriors, Remo Stars, and Wikki Tourists, who occupy the 19th, 18th, and 17th positions respectively. With only a few games remaining, Kano Pillars face an uphill battle to avoid the drop.
