Kano Promotes 823 Civil Servants

Kano State Civil Service Commission has approved the promotion of 823 civil servants to various levels.

The commission’s director of public enlightenment, Musbahu Yakasai, said the promotions were carried out for the months of January (522), February (207) and March (52), 2025 which was announced by the commission’s chairperson, Hajiya Ladidi Ibrahim Garko, during the its 25th meeting.

He also noted that 2,715 change of cadres were treated in the months under review, treating 4,488 retirement notifications, 904 deployment and 24 confirmation of appointments.

During the meeting, one disciplinary case was also presented and duly addressed by the commission, underscoring its commitment to upholding discipline and professionalism within the state’s workforce.

He reiterated the commission’s commitment to fostering a motivated and result-driven workforce by ensuring that promotions and cadre conversations are conducted in a timely and transparent manner in accordance with the service rules and regulations.
