Kano State government has warned youths terrorising some communities in the state to desist from disrupting the relative peace in the areas or face the government’s wrath.
The state commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services, Retired Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Umar gave the warning when he led the directors and security operatives to Kurna Tudun Fulani, one of the most vulnerable areas in the Dala local government area.
The visit was sequel to security reports on how some unscrupulous youths have been terrorising the community which has led to the loss of lives and properties.
The commissioner, however, noted that one such clash recently has led to the death of one Abba Sa’idu.
He said the present administration, under the leadership of Governor Abba Yusuf, is committed to enhancing the security of the state. As such, frantic efforts are being made to ensure all unemployed youths are provided with skills to make them self-reliant and relevant to society.
While stressing that the issue of security is everyone’s business, he said all hands must be on deck to safeguard the lives of all.
He therefore advised every household in the area to cooperate with security agencies and report suspicious persons to them in order to face the security threats in the area.
In his remarks, the ward head of the area, Mal Usaini Ibrahim, appealed to the government to site a police outpost in the community to enhance the security of the area, stating that they are willing to provide a suitable location for it.
