Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, have reportedly been warned by the Judge to follow the court’s dress code during the former’s Malibu Mansion trial.
Judge Brock T. Hammond states that everyone at the Los Angeles trial “must comply with the basic dress code”, or they will be banned from entering the court.
West is presently involved in a lawsuit filed against him by a former employee, Tony Saxon, who claimed labour violations at the time he was working on renovations at West’s Malibu mansion.
As the couple enters the 12-day trial, the court has issued strict warnings that everyone must refrain from wearing sunglasses or hats to prevent any drama during the proceedings.
Reports say Judge Hammond, while at the final status conference, told attorneys, “The parties and witnesses you’re calling must comply with the basic dress code of the court. No hats, sunglasses, or revealing clothing. No drama.”
He cautioned that anyone who does not follow the basic rules of legal proceedings will be removed from the trial, stating that he intends to keep the proceedings drama-free.
Censori is known for her revealing outfits, while West, at one time, designed T-shirts with the swastika symbol on them, which were deemed offensive and anti-Semitic.
Tony Saxon has been involved in the legal dispute with West since 2023.
Saxon filed court documents calling on West’s wife, Censori, to testify in the upcoming trial.
Saxon, who says he also served as caretaker for the property, is suing West for work he claims was completed on the oceanfront property, which is worth more than $57 million.
Following West’s unique renovation requests, he alleged the rapper subjected him to ‘unsafe working conditions’ together with extreme demands and long working hours of up to 16 hours a day.
He also told the court in legal documents that, in the process of carrying out West’s unique specifications, he provided multiple services, including project management, property caretaker and security. Saxon claims he was not fully compensated.
