An anonymous music producer has filed a lawsuit against rapper Kanye West, alleging that he was never paid or properly credited for extensive work on the artist’s Vultures 2 and Bully albums.

In court documents, the producer identified as John Doe states that he joined the Vultures 2 project shortly before its release, producing over 400 AI-generated vocal tracks and 13 custom AI voice models directly under West’s instruction.

The lawsuit claims Doe was responsible for converting performances into AI voice models, reconstructing vocals, and providing original audio for final master tracks. His work allegedly featured on five tracks on Vultures 2 and two released tracks on Bully, alongside several unreleased projects.

According to the filing, West’s team acknowledged the producer’s contributions in late 2024, promising to update streaming credits and proposing a master buyout. However, Doe alleges that no payments or formal credits were delivered despite reaching out to West’s business representatives.

The producer is seeking at least $110,000 in unpaid fees, $80,000 for Vultures 2 and $30,000 for Bully, plus damages for unreleased material and an injunction requiring West’s companies to correct his credits on digital streaming platforms. Representatives for West have not yet commented on the lawsuit.
