British internet personality and former TOWIE star, Kate Ferdinand, married to footballer Rio Ferdinand, says her family is safe after missiles and drones hit Dubai as Iran launched a counter strike this weekend.

Ferdinand, who lives in Dubai with her husband and three children, disclosed to fans on social media that the family spent the night in the basement of their home last night after a series of bombardment.

The ex-TOWIE star, 34, and her husband, 47, relocated to Dubai with their children, 2-year-old Shae, 5-year-old Cree, and Rio’s 14-year-old daughter Tia, in August 2025.

Ferdinand, on Sunday, gave the Instagram update on their movements after what she described as a “very scary night” in the city. She commended the United Arab Emirates government for “doing an amazing job,” stating that, despite her nerves, she senses they are in good hands.

She posted on her Instagram Stories: “Thank you for all of your messages and sorry for the silence, I haven’t wanted to worry you all. I just haven’t been able to find the words. We are safe.

“The government are doing an amazing job of keeping it that way, and despite my nerves, I feel we are in very safe hands. We are hoping for a calmer evening tonight; last night was very scary.
