Kebbi Gov Bags Honorary Doctorate Degree In India

The prestigious GD Goenka University in India has awarded Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris an Honorary Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa).

The Award was given in recognition of his outstanding performance and contributions to the development of education and social services in the state.

According to sources close to the governor, the award was given to Governor Idris at a special convocation ceremony held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the University’s campus in India.

The award of the honorary doctoral degree by the Indian University represents a global acknowledgement of Governor Idris’s impact in Kebbi, Nigeria, and abroad.

Many government officials, led by a member of the House of Representatives, representing Bagudo and Suru Federal Constituency, Hon Bello Ka’oje, attended the ceremony.
