Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kebbi State has presented certificates of return to All Progressives Congress (APC) governor-elect, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu and eight newly elected state House of Assembly members.
The resident electoral commissioner (REC) in the state, Barrister Bello Muhmud, who performed the exercise, said the presentation was mandatory immediately after the pronouncement of the results of an election.
Muhmud said the elected members were given the certificates following their emergence as winners in the just-concluded elections which were held on March 18 and on April 15.
After receiving his certificate, Gwandu expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah, APC stakeholders and voters for their tireless efforts towards ensuring his success.
He also commended INEC officials for their hard work and perseverance during and after the elections.
