The director of Security, Cabinet Office, Abdulrahman Usman Zagga, confirmed to journalists at Bagudo that the government immediately sought air support and reinforcement for soldiers.

He said a Fighter jet responded, while infantry was deployed, and normalcy was restored to Makuku town.
However, he commended the efforts of security personnel investigating the incident. To the community’s delight, MOPOL will be maintained in the area.

Zagga insisted that Governor Nasir Idris has directed security reinforcement while the air component of the operation is on 24-hour standby.
