Kebbi Govt Inaugurates Fisheries Executive Members

Kebbi State government yesterday inaugurated new executive members of the state’s chapter of the Fishermen Association.

While inaugurating and presenting certificates of return to the new executive members, the permanent secretary, Kebbi State Ministry of Livestock Development and Fisheries, Hajiya Ramatu Usman Dabai said, “You have a crucial role to play in moving the state forward in terms of food security.”

She urged them to continue supporting government policies and programmes and assured that they would be engaged fully in the upcoming Argungu International Fishing Festival as their request to be included has been forwarded to the director-general of the 2026 Fishing Festival for approval.

The new chairman of the Fishermen Association, Sani Tunga Bunza thanked the ministry officials for their support towards the success of their Inauguration.

He assured the government that the association will do everything possible to contribute its quota towards the success of the government programmes, particularly in the agricultural sector.
