The Kebbi State government announced yesterday the closure of the Makera-Kangiwa-Niger road following the collapse of the bridge on the road.

State commissioner for works Abdullahi Umar Muslim announced this during an interview with journalists at his residence in Birnin Kebbi metropolis.

He disclosed that the bridge will be closed from 6pm to 6am every day until the government repairs it to avoid accidents at night.

Muslim called on motorists and other commuters on the busy road to desist from using the road until it was repaired by the government.
