Kebbi Hisbah Nabs Man For Hiding Girl In Hotel

Officials of Hisbah Agency under the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Kebbi State have arrested a man (name withheld) for hiding a girl in a hotel in Birnin Kebbi.

The agency’s director of Shari’a, Malam Sirajo Kamba, who revealed this in a statement, said the suspect from Abuja allegedly hid the girl in a hotel after she left her parents’ house in Rafin Atiku Villa area in Birnin Kebbi metropolis without their knowledge.

Kamba added that the two suspects had spent two days in the hotel and after interrogation confirmed that they were not married which contravened both Islamic teachings and cultural practices in the state.

The director therefore advised parents to always keep watch on their children, especially the movement of the females.
