The speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Zuru, has distributed 30 motorcycles to his constituents to ease their transportation and livelihood.

Presenting the motorcycles at a ceremony held in Zuru town and attended by many APC supporters in the area, Zuru said the gesture is to complement the Kaura-led administration’s efforts in assisting the less privileged in the society especially in the area of transportation.

Represented by the lawmaker for Fakai state constituency, Hon. Lawal Gele, the speaker reiterated his commitment to empower people particularly youths in transportation businesses to enable them become self-reliant.
“This commitment is part of our initiative to empower our people especially youths to improve the Socio-economic situation in our Constituency weather to be use for transportation businesses or transportation of farm produce to home or market places,”he said.

In their separate remarks, the chairman of Zuru local government and that of APC in the area, Hon. Bala Gajere and Abubakar Abiola commended the gesture and urged other members to emulate the speaker.

Some beneficiaries who spoke with journalists expressed their happiness for the gesture which they said is timely.
