Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distributed over 4,000 bags of rice to thousands of households in Delta State to celebrate the festive season.
The initiative, which covered the state’s three senatorial districts, involved distributing bags of rice, cows and other essential food items to communities and groups in the state.
Among the beneficiaries were traditional and religious leaders, party faithful, local government structures, youth and women’s groups and organised labour.
The special adviser, Media and Research to the Minister, Emameh Gabriel, in a statement, said the initiative aimed to complement the festive celebrations by easing the economic burden on families and reinforcing the shared values of compassion and community support.
Gabriel said, “The joy of the season is best felt when shared. This outreach is a modest but heartfelt effort to stand with our people, to bring a measure of relief to families, and to celebrate together as a community.
“As a representative of the people and an official under the visionary leadership of President Bola Tinubu, I see it as both a duty and a privilege to facilitate initiatives that directly touch lives. This is in keeping with the ethos of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which places the welfare of the citizens at the forefront of governance.”
